2008 B.A. Psychology, Seattle University

Teaching Philosphy/Approach:

I’m passionate about working with college students because I believe mental health plays a crucial role in their overall success and personal growth. It’s incredibly rewarding to walk alongside someone as they navigate challenges and make meaningful progress on their journey.

Personal Interests:

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and our pets, and attending all of my son's swim meets. We also love to travel the country in our camper and have been to some amazing places like New York City, Arches National Park, the Smoky Mountains, and beaches of the Atlantic as well as the Pacific (just to name a few). Where should we go next?

Why Vincennes University?:

I love working at VU because of the community we create here and the support we have. Our different departments are always working together for the best interest of the students and I'm thankful to be a part of that.

I have been a part of the University Counseling Center team since December 2020, providing counseling services primarily through telehealth. Before joining this university, I spent over three years supporting students at the University of Evansville’s Counseling Center. In addition to my counseling work, I am a certified Adult Mental Health First Aid instructor through the National Council on Mental Wellbeing. I regularly teach Mental Health First Aid courses on both the main and Jasper campuses, helping faculty, staff, and students recognize and respond to mental health concerns in our community.
